President of Muslim Community, Ifako-Ijaiye bags Baba Adini title

The President of Muslim Community in Ifako Ijaiye, Alhaji Abd’Mutalib Orire Oyedeji, has been selected as the first Baba Adini of Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos State.

In an event that was graced by the entire Chief Imams of Ifako Ijaiye and Ojokoro Local Community Development Association, Oyedeji was unanimously chosen by the Council of Chief Imams and Alfas.

People & Politics gathered that Oyedeji was nominated alongside two other personalities, on Thursday, July 4, but his unrelenting doggedness for the advancement of Islam, philanthropic gestures, outstanding behavioural qualities among others distinguished him for the noble position.

Aside from the Chief Imams and Alfas who played the pivotal roles, the immediate Past President of the body, Alhaji Abd’Azeez Yunus Yalos, Vice President of Ifako-Ijaiye Muslim Community-Alhaji Sumonu Abd’Lateef, Chief Missioner of Muslim Community Sheik-Adebisi Kamaldeen, representatives of Muslim Youths among other personalities were also at the memorable event.

The date of his official installation, an insider told People & Politics will later be fixed after wide consultations, and will be communicated to the general public.
