NYCN LAUNCHES IFAKO-IJAIYE SKILLFEST: EMPOWERING YOUTHS FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ifako-Ijaiye Local Branch is set to launch its groundbreaking “Back to School Skill Acquisition Sensitization Program” tagged “Ifako-Ijaiye Skillfest 1.0”.

The program, which is part of the council’s Empowerment, Youth Innovation, Revitalization of Youths Engagement (EYR) agenda, aims to equip youths with various skills to unlock their potential and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development.

According to the Coordinator of NYCN Ifako-Ijaiye Local Branch, Comr. Oluwaseun Emmanuel Ayomase (Asikolaye), the program will engage students in four different public schools over four weeks, commencing from Tuesday, 11th February to 21st March 2024.

Some of the skills that will be taught during the program include musical instruments, makeup artistry, confectioneries, digital skills, and Adire-making.

The Chief Host of the event is Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat, Executive Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government.

As stated by the PRO, NYCN Ifako-Ijaiye, Comr. Gbenga Hooper, “Building the youth is building the nation. We are committed to empowering our youths with the necessary skills to succeed in life.”
