Nigerians frown at COVID-19 Task Force enforcement methods

Nigerians have started criticizing the Task Force team enforcing the use of masks on the citizens, due to the unprofessional methods the enforcement agencies have adopted.

It has been reported that the team rove around arresting those not adhering to government directive, meanwhile choking them up in a vehicle truck that should not take more than 8 persons if they also want to comply with the policy they are enforcing.

To the public’s dismay, the task force team will pack people in numbers into their truck and lock them up in a manner that could further enable the spread of the disease.

A concerned Nigerian thus wrote on a social media platform, “You arrested people for not wearing masks because of COVID-19 and then packed them like sardines in the same vehicle. I wonder who is advising this government.”

In another development, a Lagosian has drawn the attention of Lagos State Government to the potential danger and increase in the pandemic wave that could be fostered by the activities of the blue BRT buses in Lagos State. He wrote on Facebook “Please help with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s phone number, the blue BRT bus operators will increase the spread of COVID-19 to millions in Lagos.”
