The Nigerian musician and entertainer, Peter Okoye (Mr P), of the defunct PSquare has congratulated Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on her emergence as the Director General of the World Trade Organization.
Mr P, on Wednesday evening at about 10pm went on Twitter displaying his picture with that of the former Nigerian Minister of Finance, Foreign Affairs and former Coordinator of the Nigerian Economy, with a congratulatory message.
The Okoye brother, who referred to the elected WTO DG as “Mummy” said he is proud of Okonjo-Iweala, stating that Nigeria needs more of her kind.
In his words, “Congratulations Mummy! We are super proud of you ma, THE NEW DIRECTOR GENERAL OF WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION (WTO).”
In another tone, Mr P fired at some of the leaders, using the congratulatory medium to attack his targets. “We need leaders like this, not those looters and thieves that will even hoard palliatives!”
You will recall that indigenes of some of the states have recently discovered foodstuffs and other palliative materials at different warehouses and abodes of political leaders and public office holders, which has degenerated to war of words and physical assaults.
Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is the first female to emerge as the DG of the World Trade Organization, defeating her contender, South Korea Trade Minister Yoo Myung-hee, who could as well claim the same glory.
