A Nigerian trader from the Northern part of the country, identified as Mohammed has requested from the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, his share of next year (2020) budget.

In a video going viral on social media, the trader was seen in a shop with his goods on his head. In what may appear to have started in a trivial manner, he was recorded and the video eventually found itself on the social media network.

Mohammed said “Mr. President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, if it is possible, I want my share of the 2020 budget.

“I don’t need roads, I have no vehicle, I have never driven a car. I am above 60 years and I have never driven a car, I never own one. I don’t want hospital, I don’t want electricity, I don’t want all these electricity, due to the fact that I will need my money.

“If it can be possible, I want the federal government to give me my share as a bonafide Nigerian and send it through the Jigawa State Government and donate it to me, as I’m suffering from financial misappropriation. I don’t have money, I’m not a criminal, I don’t involve myself in any crime.

“I don’t want to be an armed robber, I don’t want to be a cattle rustler, I don’t want to be a Boko Haram insurgent, I want to transact legal business. If it is possible, I want the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari, to give me my money in cash to transact this lovely business.

“I have stayed in pathetic situation; I’m squatting and living in abject poverty, so I’m begging and soliciting,” Mohammed who hawks clothing materials said.
