‘Go and be great!’ AFOO’s son, Dara, encourages Cypress Lakes graduands as President

On a beautiful Tuesday at Cypress Lakes High School in Katy, Houston, Texas, Oluwadarasimi Ajiboye, son of Hon. Afolabi Olumide Ajiboye, delivered a motivational speech at the school’s valedictory program.

As the President of the graduating class, Oluwadarasimi urged the graduands to go out into the world and make a mark, be the best they can be, and unleash their brilliance.

In his speech, he expressed gratitude to the teachers, administrators, counselors, parents, and everyone who contributed to the class’s success. He also acknowledged Superintendent Dr. Douglas Killian, who honored the class with his presence.

“As Spartans, we share a unique experience that will never fade – being in the same place at the same time, facing struggles, and gaining diverse experiences. Throughout it all, we continued to get up and keep going, and that’s what makes us who we are. That’s what makes us Spartans,” he said.

“As we go out into the world, go and be great, make your mark, and be the best possible you, you can be.

“Congratulations, Cypress Lakes Class of 2024! The world awaits your brilliance!”

Oluwadarasimi Ajiboye held various leadership positions, including:

– President, Class of 2024
– President, Innovators Association
– Vice-President, Student Council
– Vice-President, National Honor Society
– Webmaster, Key Club
– Senior Chair, Presidents Association
