A third-class traditional ruler of Rubochi, Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Ibrahim Pada has been kidnapped.
Superintendent of Police, Michael Ada, Divisional Police Officer of Rubochi, confirmed the incident on Wednesday. Ada said the traditional ruler was abducted from his abode on Tuesday.
He revealed that gunmen stormed the residence of the traditional ruler at midnight and took him to an unknown destination.
“The command immediately formed a search-and-rescue team which is now working to rescue the traditional leader unhurt.
“The command would update members of the public on developments on the issue”, Ada revealed.

A resident of the community, Mr Madaki Dogara, also confirmed the incident; he noted that the heinous criminals struck around 1.30 a.m. on Tuesday night.
He disclosed that the abductors were putting on camouflage, carrying sophisticated weapons and shot sporadically into the air before taking the chief away.
