Davido changes endorsement rules, asks for part of the company

The popular Nigerian musician, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has hit the social media again this Friday morning, with a controversial post that says “Fuck an endorsement deal, ask for part of the company… #Changetherules.”

The motive of the American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter, musician and record producer was not really spelt out beyond the post. But this has thus attracted the comments and reactions of his followers.

While some tried to advise him on such intent, others saw it as an attempt to chase clout for business motive.

Someone wrote that it doesn’t always work that way, demanding for part of the company would also demand more from you. Another said, you can use the worth of your endorsement deal to buy some shares in decoy.

@sarz_watch wrote “Many might not understand this, but this tweet is business minded, endorsement is just a pay out, always ask for equity…be part of the company and share profit.”

@Thegarvin2_0 also reacted “Lmao, very funny… So if I wan offer you endorsement deal, make you be ambassador for my company, you go come say no, you wan dey board of directors, I laugh in Swahili.”

It is however not clear whether Davido is at loggerhead with any organization.
