Chelsea beat nine-man Tottenham in a frantic, chaotic Premier League match full of drama and controversy.

Dejan Kulusevski had put the home side ahead in the fifth minute with a strike which deflected in off Levi Colwill.

Cole Palmer equalised from the penalty spot immediately after Romero’s red card for fouling Enzo Fernandez.

A total of five potential goals were ruled out for either offside or handball, with a plethora of decisions being reviewed by the video assistant referee.

Second-placed Tottenham would have gone top with a win but instead suffered their first league loss of the season.
