For the first time in the history of Celestial Church of Christ, the children are denied the joy of celebration of the Juvenile Harvest.
Juvenile Harvest Anniversary is an event that is held every first Sunday in the month of June in all Celestial parishes worldwide. It is a fixed date that requires a lot of preparation for them because the event encompasses so much.
This is an event that can be likened to May 27 Children’s Day celebration, but CCC juvenile’s harvest can be ranked above it because of the spiritual attachments.
From the conduct of church service, to sermon, ushering, choir ministration, everything in whole is being handled by the juveniles who own the day, while elders will only play supervisory roles on this day that the church is usually filled to the brim.
It shouldn’t surprise you that financial contribution to achieve this feat would have begun as early as the month of January. You will see the juveniles flaunting different white garment materials, depending on the capacity of individual parents.
Those that will feature in the service activities would have been engaged for months by Sunday School/Juvenile church handlers to ensure perfect delivery of roles.
It is a day for talent display in Christ Jesus, a day to merry and celebrate the children, but not in 2020, a year ridden with so many unpleasants, a year the scourge called coronavirus shut down everything.
Just as pilgrimage has never been halted but for 2020 due to coronavirus, the Celestial Church of Christ’s Juvenile’s harvest was halted for the first time in the history of the church and the juveniles were denied the joy of celebration.
People & Politics went round some states and found Celestial churches under lock and key, a church whose door is never shut from the day of commissioning.
