APC just an NGO, not a political party – Dino Melaye

Senator Dino Melaye, a Nigerian politician, and former senator from Kogi West Senatorial District has described the All Progressives Congress (APC), as a non governmental organisation (NGO).

The controversial Senator and member of the Peoples Democratic Party debunked the rumours making the rounds that he has left the PDP for APC. He described APC as an NGO and not a political party. He averred that he won’t quit a political party for an NGO.

The Ayetoro Gbede-Ijumu born politician said God will punish those making such insinuations. “God go punish those coming to say Dino leave PDP. How can l leave a Political Party and join an NGO like APC. Yeye dey smell…comot 4 road jare”, he tweeted on his verified Twitter handle.

SDM as he is fondly called also accused the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, of deceiving and distracting all those who take him seriously “on the phantom presidential ambition to shield attention from the colossal and unprecedented stealing and failure of his wasted years in Kogi State. At the right time we will burst his bubble”, he posited.

Dino Melaye is a former senator and member of the Peoples Democratic Party. In 2015 he defected to All Progressives Congress (APC) but returned to PDP in the buildup to 2019 elections after months of political struggle with Kogi State governor. He was the Chairman Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja. And briefly the Senate Committee Chairman on Aviation in Nigeria.
