The chairman of the 34th Ode Remo Lafose Day and Otunbade Ode Remo, Hon. Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo has sued for peace and harmony within the Ijebu people of Ode Remo, saying that is the veritable tool for growth and industrialization.
In the one week long event, Olabinjo said when there’s peace within, with the resonance of joy, definitely, there will be growth and industrialization will be achieved with ease.
Speaking on Saturday, August 3, the former Special Adviser to the Lagos State Government on Civic Engagement, who was the major sponsor of the 33rd edition told People & Politics that the event hold every year, with its final and major event on every first Saturday of the month of August.
It was gathered that people came from far and wide, even from abroad to attend the annual event.
Highlights of the event were a vigil programme organised to pray for the people of Ijebu and the peace of the nation at large, a beauty pageant which produced Miss Lafose, sanitation exercise as well as symposium and talent hunt.
As part of the developmental effort in Ode-Remo, the royal fathers; HRH Alaiyeluwa (Surv) Adetunji Osho, Alaiye-Ode of Ode-Remo, HRH Alaiyeluwa (Engr) Olatunji Kalejaiye, Nloku of Iraye and HRH Alaiyeluwa Mukaila Olabinjo, Eleposo of Eposo, Ode-Remo also commissioned a 135KVA Mikano generator bought by Ode-Remo Development Council (ODC) for the good use of the people.
