According to Hamzat, the Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration had recognised the importance of the project and promised to ease the inconvenience being faced by citizens on the road.

People & Politics recalled that on Sunday, June 2, 2019, Governor Babajide Sanwoolu and his deputy inspected the road, assuring Lagosians that work activities on the road will commence in the month of June, to relief the pain of Lagosians commuting the road.
